Kelly + John
A Spring Wedding at Florida Botanical Gardens
There’s something so magical about a spring wedding — soft sunlight, fresh blooms, and love in full bloom. Kelly and John’s wedding at the Florida Botanical Gardens was the perfect example of all of that and more. I had the absolute joy of being their photographer and documenting every moment of their gorgeous day.
The day started at Kelly’s mom’s house, where she got ready with her closest people by her side. I began with capturing all her beautiful details — her dress, jewelry, and sentimental keepsakes. Once she was dressed and ready, we took portraits. The morning light poured in through the windows, creating soft, natural light indoors, and the outdoor space gave us a lovely setting for even more portraits. Kelly was absolutely glowing.
Next, I headed over to meet John, who was getting ready at a nearby hotel. His mom and groomsmen helped with the final touches — bowtie, jacket, and handkerchief— and I was there to capture those candid, behind-the-scenes moments that always feel so personal.
Then, it was time to head to the venue: the stunning Florida Botanical Gardens. Everything was vibrant and blooming — truly the perfect spring setting. Kelly’s floral arrangements were all in shades of blue and white, which added such an elegant, fresh touch to the day.
The ceremony took place on the lawn under the open sky. I photographed close-ups of the bride and groom at the altar, exchanging vows with so much love in their eyes. It was such a heartfelt ceremony, surrounded by the beauty of nature and their favorite people.
Right after the ceremony, we moved straight into family portraits, followed by wedding party photos around the property. The Gardens gave us endless gorgeous backdrops, from lush greens to floral paths.
Then came one of my favorite parts of the day — portraits with just the bride and groom. We wandered to a bridge, took some dreamy shots by blooming flowers, and circled back to the ceremony site where it had all just happened. Those portraits captured so much emotion and intimacy between the two of them — I know they’ll treasure them forever.
From there, it was time to celebrate! The reception was held at the City of Belleair Bluffs, where we jumped right into introductions and the first dance. The energy was joyful and relaxed. John shared a sweet dance with his mom, and then the dance floor opened up for mingling, laughter, and so many candid, fun moments.
They cut the cake, shared sweet moments with their guests, and later had a private last dance — just the two of them soaking in the end of their incredible day. Then came their bubble exit, full of cheers, light, and love.
Kelly and John’s day was filled with beauty, connection, and pure joy. It was an honor to be a part of it and capture all the magic along the way.
